Be Successful: 4 Ways To Finally Accomplish All Your Goals This Year

by Jamelle Sanders

Welcome to 2017!

As a life strategist, this is the time of the year that my phone rings incessantly and my inbox is inundated with inquiries about my coaching programs.

Everyone goes into the New Year with new excitement and energy to accomplish their goals.

However, after a few weeks, this energy starts to dissipate. My phone rings less and less, some drop out of coaching programs, and many go back to their normal routine.

Why does this happen? What can be done to change this?

Here are a few tips to help you be successful in 2017.

How To Make 2017 More Successful Than Ever

1. Get clear on your vision.

People perish without a vision. You would be amazed at how many people go into a new year with no sense of purpose or direction.

You cannot wing life. You have to be intentional. I challenge you to take time and write out what you want your 2017 to look like. What you map it out, you are much more likely to reach your goals.

Map out your dreams, as well as a guided plan to get there. This is a great first step to setting the course for success in 2017.

2. Get a coach or a mentor.

I always say that coaches and mentors help us bridge the gap between our dreams and manifestation. When you get connected with a good coach, you accelerate your success track.

Coaches and mentors help us chart the course to change, and they can identify and break through your barriers to success and challenge you to live at the next level.

Coaches empower you to do more with less effort. One of the greatest gifts you can give yourself in 2017 is the gift of coaching and mentoring. You need someone in your life that can help you move from hope to manifestation.

3. Make personal development a priority.

Often, people ask me what has been my personal key to my success. I can say unequivocally that personal development has been one of the key drivers of my success.

One thing I want you to understand is that you don’t develop in a day, but you develop daily. Making a decision to develop daily establishes certain disciplines in your life.

So many people do not see the importance or value of investing in personal development. What you do not develop in will always be a deficiency in your life. The only way to achieve lasting success is to make a decision to develop.

Personal development is about achieving congruency is spirit, soul, and body in order to experience a greater quality of life. Invest in yourself so that you can make 2017 your greatest year ever!

4. Make the decision to play a larger game in 2017.

I made a decision in 2014 that I would play a much bigger game. That decision brought incredible opportunities and the privilege of speaking on some of the largest platforms in the world.

However, I did not get comfortable with the success of 2014. I have challenged myself to play even bigger every year. Playing a larger game is about getting out of your own way and living the life of your dreams.

The Takeaway

Every day this year, I want you to take bold steps that propel you into breakthrough success. I want you to challenge fears, self-limiting beliefs and perceptions in 2017. I want you to go for your big goals this year. Stop shrinking back! Stop doing just enough. I dare you to play big in 2017! This is your year to live a greater life!
