Many of us get so caught up in buying great gifts and making sure that we show our friends and families how much we love and appreciate them that we forget about ourselves during the holiday season.
Giving back to the ones you love is wonderful, but it’s okay to give back to yourself as well. You deserve something special. Keep reading for 22 ideas of how you can treat yourself!
How To Treat Yourself
1. Have dinner date with yourself
Go to your favorite restaurant, or try out a new spot that you’ve been dying to go. If you really want to indulge, you could go to a restaurant that’s a bit pricier than you would usually allow yourself to go to.
2. Get a gym membership
The start of the new year is when everyone is trying to get their resolutions together. If one of your goals is to be more fit, then take the initiative and get yourself a gym membership.
3. Buy a trial period for a cool fitness class
If going to the gym isn’t really your thing, but you still want to make an effort to be more active, purchase a trial membership to a fitness class. You could try out a cycling class, steam room yoga, or even a dance class.
This is a fun way to try out a class that you’ve been thinking about but didn’t want to splurge on. In case it’s not your cup of tea, you can opt for a month or even a week pass.
4. Start a travel fund
You may not be able to jet off to Paris, but you can start a travel fund so that someday you may be able to go on your dream vacation. It doesn’t have to be a huge chunk of money–just a start. Having a savings account or just a jar that you set aside traveling money in will give you the motivation to make sure that you continue to save up during the year.
5. Plan a staycation
Staycations are great because they’re so low key. Often, we don’t experience the best parts of the cities we live in because we’re so busy with work and life.Be a tourist for a day and tour your city.
Or you could just relax and spend the night at a hotel lounging in the hot tub and ordering room service.
6. Take a daytrip
