An Apple A Day Isn’t Enough

Why is it that America is the wealthiest country in the world, but home of some of the unhealthiest children?

That’s a question asked by Taylor Mali in this video. And the advice offered is pretty simple, namely that we should think of health as a skill and practice it every day.

And if we want healthy kids, adults need to lead by example.


There’s a few simple ways to do it, including:

  • Drink more water
  • Eat more vegetables (especially the leafy green ones)
  • Eat less sugar
  • Don’t drink soda
  • Stop watching TV
  • Go play outside
  • Get your heart rate up every day
  • Chew your food more, eat slower
  • Meditate
  • Set yourself a health goal

After you watch this video think about one way you can be healthier and in turn lead a healthier life for those around you. Making healthy decisions doesn’t just affect your life but instead you can be an inspiration for others.
