5 Aphrodisiac Foods That Will Get You in the Mood

Nutritional science has begun to discover that food and sex go hand in hand.

In a recent study, the testicles of mice that were fed yogurt were 5 times larger than those of mice, not fed yogurt, and 15% larger than those of mice fed junk food.

We now know that endocrine, hormonal and, circulatory functions are all greatly affected by food, and the essential nutrients found in some foods program the human body for fertility and libido, greatly influencing our sensuality! Here are five of my favorite aphrodisiac foods.

5 Aphrodisiac Foods

 1. Cacao

Cacao has been shown to increase human levels of dopamine, serotonin, and brain oxytocin, arguably the three most important brain chemicals responsible for making us feel sexy.

2. Arugula

Arugula contains an antioxidant that blocks the absorption of contaminants that offset testosterone production. Sexiness is synonymous with testosterone!

3. Watermelon

Watermelon contains the antioxidant citrulline, which increases the amount of nitric oxide in the blood. Nitric oxide is the body’s consummate blood vessel dilator. Circulation is essential for vitality and sexiness!

4. Oysters

Oysters, the consummate aphrodisiac, contain high concentrations of omega 3 fats, which support circulation, increasing the likelihood of stronger erections in men.

5. Almonds

Almonds are rich in zinc, which has been shown to increase sperm counts in both animal and human studies. The high levels of magnesium found in almonds aid with the body’s relaxation response, putting the mind at ease and more likely in the mood for sex.

However, be advised! One person’s turn-on may be another’s turn-off. Not everybody responds the same way to every aphrodisiac food. Everything is energy, and everything has its own unique “DNA-like” energy code- people and food included. While one person’s energy code may match well with arugula’s, making him the next Don Juan, ‘Don Juana Be’ may not be able to tolerate arugula at all.

How to Discover Which Are YOUR Best Sexy Foods

Discovering which of these five aphrodisiac foods are most likely to put you in the mood can be a fun and easy couple’s activity. The key to cracking your energy code is a simple muscle testing procedure that you can learn in mere minutes. Your nervous system knows your code, and your muscles will weaken at the mere mention of the wrong match.

Stand face to face, with your partner at arm’s length. Raise your left arm at shoulder height. Close your eyes as your partner calls out the names of each of these five foods. As they call out each name, your partner should try to depress your left arm with their right. If your strength weakens and your arm drops at the mention of any given food, then it isn’t part of your energy code, so will not be a stimulus for you at all.

It may sound a little weird, but go ahead and try it. If you discover one or two aphrodisiac foods that resonate with both of you, you’ll know what to have for dinner!
